Hibiscus flowers are used to make drinks all over the world. Sorrel is the Caribbean name of the Hibiscus Sabdariffa flower, hinting to Woodford & Warner's Trinbagonian roots. The cloves and cinnamon in this recipe are also traditionally from the islands.
HOW WE LIKE IT
We like to add it to cider (hot or cold) for a fresh upgrade to the original, and mix it with a rooty gin like Jensen's Old Tom for an easy cocktail. We also love it just with sparkling water - mixed half and half - a perfect mocktail, for example to avoid drink envy during pregnancy.
