Sarah grew up in a large family where cooking and entertaining were an important part of life. In her late teens she started making Sorrel (the Caribbean name of Hibiscus Sabdariffa and the drink made from it) for Christmas in Trinidad, where it is a traditional seasonal drink.
When she moved to England she continued making Sorrel and the drink became an all-year round favourite in her family. After having a family, she set up Woodford & Warner in 2012 with the vision of creating high quality, handmade products marrying her two cultures.
Sorrel became the company's first product, handmade in small batches, without additives or preservatives. So far the range includes a cordial and a sorbet, and Sarah has plans to introduce more products which show off innovative Trinbagonian cusine and reflect the country's complex fusion of food cultures.
