Made by The London Distillery Company
WHY IT'S CRAVED
Dodd's is an elegant gin which features cardamom, bay leaf and honey from The London Honey Company, all contributing to a vibrant and fragrant flavour profile. It is distilled using a combination of traditional and cold vacuum distillation, where the latter brings out fresh flavours of the more delicate ingredients.
The gin is a tribute to Ralph Dodd, an 18th century engineer and serial entrepreneur. he intended to form The London Distillery Company in 1807 but was forced to abandon the project after being sued for failing to incorporate the company.
At a time when many spirits consumed in the London could be potentially lethal to drink, Dodd's intention had been to offer the public "Genuine Liquors, of the best quality, without any adulteration, in which they will be personally interested in disposing".
HOW WE LIKE IT
This is one of the few gins that we really enjoy neat, and it works in classic cocktails such as the Martinez or Negroni, where it gets to shine center stage.
